Ray has to say about Mulligan's Saloon McHenry IL

The restaurant is located off 31 in McHenry in some buildings that were originally built to be offices. This did not pan out you will see that the signs ours on in back looking toward 31 and the entrances our in the back. Mulligans has great burgers and other American foods. Pizza has a very distinct taste and would say I was not thrilled. Friday fish fry with Coconut and Beer battered fish. They have some interesting appetizer such as chislec-Tenderloin marinated and deep fried and great balls of fire -spicy deep fried popcorn chicken. The place is a large bar with large seating area. Pool tables ,dart boards and some arcade machines our there to keep you entertained. The place has several HD TVS . The place has been up for few months. The problem with the place is there is not a non-smoking area. The place has no ventilation and the smell has gotten real bad and the smoking can be overwhelming for non smokers. Your coat will smell like cigarettes when you leave and you will have to air fresher it or throw it in the laundry. The bar and sitting area could have been splitted up with some ventilation and that could have fixed the problem. After being there and see how few of people sit and eat there and mostly take out I feel that this is an issue the owner will have to correct or eliminate the restaurant part. This weekend there was only one other group of people eating at the tables.
I recommend take your coat off and pick up some food. Your lungs and nose will thank you.

Eating at Dunhills in McHenry, IL is an experience that is a cut above most other dining experiences in McHenry County. It has a variety of creative dishes and traditional dishes, most done with an excellent flair. The lunch menu and their nightly specials offer excellent food with modest prices. Their signature coffee is smooth. Their signature sauces and salad dressings are excellent as well as unique. The salads are fresh and delicious, and their burgers are beyond the norm. The chicken dishes are excellent and the coconut shrimp is a top choice for me.
I give it 5 meows out of 5. ^..^ ^..^ ^..^ ^..^ ^..^

Ray has to say about Buffalo Wild Wings Round Lake Beach IL

I have been to this restaurant a few times. The interior is a sports bar look. The music is usually very loud. The big screen tvs in the place are mostly the old back lit that look horrible in the lighting. They have one HD above the bar for this large place which is disppointing. They serve your food to you in cardboard and that would be ok if they didn't charge you like you were in a lot nicer sit down restaurant. Service inside can be hit and miss one time people were walking up to get refills of soda. They have chicken wings and boneless wings specials Tuesday and Thursday. If you are alone and want to watch a chicago event at the bar and be around some people that are fans that is the only reason I would eat inside. If you are going to serve me cardboard your telling me your carry out and forget the $2 price for each soda inside and tipping. They have a large counter when you walk in for carry out and I notice this week they took the signs down that said carry out parking?? The place is usually pretty empty unless big sport event then it can be busier. The food as I said is average but the price is not. Lunch they have combo meals that are alright priced but dinner if you want fries with your burger your paying about $6 for the burger and $3-4 dollard for onion rings or buffalo chips. $10 to be served in cardboard I see why it is empty. Don't 2 dollars for the pop. For that price you do get free wifi. The smaller TV have trivia games and texas holdem that would be fun if they would clean the units you use to play them. The units are always out of batteries and never charged so I see very little effort there. Me and my wife have pretty much tried everything and I would say on average the food is average and the quantity is small. I feel that your money could be better spent at a nicer restaurant. After the restaurant then go to Buffalo Wild Wings for a Chicago game you might see some people that day and have a few drinks. But if you have HD at home get a case and go home.

Ray has to say about Warsaw Inn Mchenry IL

Zubrzycki's Warsaw Inn Polish American Buffet.
I have been to this restaurant several times and I have to say most of the time it is a real treat. It is mainly a buffet and they have early bird lunch specials sometimes between 11am and 11:30. Not like most buffets the food is very hot when you put it on the plate. They usually have potato pancakes,Pierogi ,Blintzes and stuffed cabbage. They have chipped beef and gravy ,chicken and mostacolli ,a full salad bar and other American dishes every day. They do turkey and gravy Mondays, breaded pork patties Tuesday and other specials each day on the buffet to change it up a little. They have a dessert area that is great and the chocolate ice cream taste just like a flurry at Wendy's. At dinner they have specials that you can order but I would say stick with the buffet. Brunch on the weekend available. The service can sometimes be hit or miss sincerely at lunch when the place is busy so be prepared. The place is pretty clean but it could use a gutting and makeover of the place it is just like a plain diner look. They do put some holiday stuff up that helps. The servers our very nice and they keep the Buffet area extremely clean.Overall if you like buffets and variety you can't go wrong.

Ray has to say about Whistle Stop Fox Lake IL

The Whistle Stop is a great restaurant located at the corner of route 12 and grand avenue right before the railroad tracks. I have tried this restaurant for breakfast several times. The service is nice and the decor will make any train enthusiast excited. The omelets our excellent and large, the coffee (including flavor of the day) our always great. The food is very consistent and there is a large variety of things to try. I and my wife personally have had the skillets ,omelets and I have had the Depot (the meat lovers breakfast.) I feel for breakfast you can't go wrong and the prices are very reasonable.
